They speak English in What?

It's day four into my short vacation. I promised myself that I wouldn't think or have priorities. The previous days have consisted of watching movies, surfing the internet for things that make me laugh and getting further acquainted with my cats. All in all, I'm doing nothing which is the way I like it.

To answer a few questions I've been asked a lot:
"How do you feel about being deployed?"
I feel upset, yet I'm not going to pout about it. I feel sad, but I'm not going to cry about it. I'm going to miss my wife, I'm going to miss my family and I'm going to miss my pets.
"What are you going to be doing?"
Well I really don't know nor would I tell. I can tell you that I'm in the infantry and the infantryman's mission is "to locate, close with and destroy the enemy by fire and manuever" or "to defeat the enemy through close combat".
"Are you worried?"
I am worried, I'm going into a foreign hostile area.I hear that I will be stationed in the middle of nowhere, I'm going to a mountainous place that is around 10,000 ft above sea level. I hear that food and water have to be shipped in every few days...which to me spells more misery. I can tell you that I'm worried but I'm not scared. I'm worried that my wife will be alone and not seek support when it is offered through family or support groups.

Hopefully I will be able to chronicle my journey and adventures here in this blog.
