Ammo.......check, Entertainment......check.
Santa was good to me this year. I guess he knew I was getting deployed and he gave me a lot of PC games to keep me busy. I've got movies and games to fill my down time for Lord knows that without it I would lose my mind. I even bought a laptop to control my media; games, movies, music and photos. I bought a digital camcorder/camera to help me chronicle and put a visual with my words. I don't want to leave "the most important person in my life" in the dark about what I'm doing. Now don't go thinking that I'm rich, the laptop is on credit with zero interest until '08 (if I can pay it off by then) and the digital camcorder was $100 bucks and records to SD memory cards so I have to save before I reuse.
I just heard last night that while I'm down in NC training for 3 months, that I will be "staying in the middle of a field in a tent with no floors and port-a-shitters and showers every few days so tell your guys bring a lot of baby wipes. Oh and the commander said that we will do PT twice a day" (what my squad leader told me last night). Now about 6 years ago I wouldn't care but the fact is now I'm a full time civilian and getting used to something like that again will take awhile and not without bitching. It's not good for an NCO to bitch in front of his guys so I guess I will have to cry on the inside.

You can cry to me!
It's going to be rough, but you're a tough guy. I'm so very proud of you, angel.
Glad you liked what Santa brought you...
Holly.
