Wow I'm horrible at updating!

We arrived sometime last month and we've been busy off and on. We run convoys just about everyday some are short some are overnight. The terrain is pretty rough and the humvees take a good beating , so anyone that can turn a wrench is golden. The weather can be hot during the day and chilly at night. Every now and then a rolling dust storm will stir things up. There is a lot of sheep herding going on and the herders just move them from here to there and back. There are also packs of wild dogs that you see running around. In towns you see what appear to be stray dogs running around and they look really skinny, the wild dogs look pretty thick.
Our FOB is fairly large and is nice except for the crappy chow and the phone situation sux, but we have internet and usually there is just a little wait for it. My roommates and I bought a big fridge and a microwave so I can have cold coke and popcorn while I watch Star Wars. To those who know that I'm a picky eater, I've even tried some of the local food. Be it was only chai and cookies makes no difference. At the bazaar I can buy bootleg dvd movies for instance, Mission Impossible III is there and next week they will have The Da Vinci Code available.
