A day off (more like 10-12 hours off)

Fuzzy small pox shot, the WWII style barracks and the FOB

Well I finally am able to get online via a wireless hotspot that you have to pay for its $10 for a day (actually some one else paid and I let him use my computer). My days have consisted of waking up from 4-7 am and going to briefings, shooting ranges, doctors, dentists. I have been in a faux FOB, in WWII style barracks and tomorrow I head back to the faux FOB for 8-10 days then probably back to the barracks for the night then back to the FOB for 8-10 days. I don't know when my next time off will be. I have basically been sick since I've gotten to Fort Bragg, the sickness has gone from sore throat to itchy throat to persistent cough now at heavy flegm buildup with occasional cough. The sickness could or could not be related to the small pox vaccine or the anthrax booster shots I received during a medical day.
I've qualified with my weapon plus the .50 cal machine gun. I was slated for the CLS (Combat Life Saver) course but for some reason they pulled me out and stuck me in the radio communication class, I did not learn anything new in the comm. class which was a total waste. A rumor has it that we may have the night of the SuperBowl off so...not really excited, maybe I'll go to bed early. My "day off" will consist of eating a slice of pepperoni pizza, the internet, and getting a haircut. Since I've been out here I've been growing a mustache, I pretty much hate and think of cheese when I look in the mirror at it, other guys think I should wear one permanently. I'll take a pic once I get my "high and tight" haircut.
